What AML screening is applied to every crypto transaction?+
Every inbound and outbound crypto transaction is screened through Chainalysis Know Your Transaction (KYT) Enterprise. Screening covers: OFAC, EU, and UN sanctions exposure; crypto mixer and tumbler history; darknet market exposure; stolen funds association; ransomware wallet links; and entity risk scoring. Transactions with elevated risk scores (above CCYFX's risk tolerance threshold) are held for manual compliance review and may be declined. All KYT results are logged to the transaction audit trail. Clients can request their KYT results as part of the compliance report for each transaction.
What is the Travel Rule and how does CCYFX comply?+
The FATF Travel Rule (Recommendation 16) requires Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) to collect, verify, and transmit originator and beneficiary information for crypto transfers above threshold amounts ($1,000 USD equivalent under FATF; EUR 1,000 under EU TFR). CCYFX complies with the Travel Rule for all qualifying VASP-to-VASP transfers, using a Travel Rule compliance solution to exchange the required information with counterparty VASPs. For transfers to unhosted wallets, enhanced due diligence and ownership verification is required. Clients are provided with Travel Rule documentation as part of the transaction compliance pack.
Who holds the crypto — CCYFX or Fireblocks?+
CCYFX does not hold client crypto in its own name. All crypto custody is provided through Fireblocks, a qualified institutional digital asset custodian. Fireblocks uses MPC (Multi-Party Computation) key management technology — private keys are never fully reconstructed in any single location, eliminating single points of failure and insider theft risk. Client wallets are individually separated in Fireblocks' infrastructure. CCYFX has no ability to move client funds without multi-signature authorization from the client's registered control keys. Insurance coverage of up to $250M per event is provided via Lloyd's of London.
What are the settlement times for each asset?+
Settlement times by asset: USDT (ERC-20, TRC-20) — T+0, typically within 2 hours of fiat receipt confirmation; USDC (ERC-20) — T+0, typically within 2 hours; Bitcoin (BTC) — T+1, after 3 on-chain confirmations; Ethereum (ETH) — T+1, after 12 on-chain confirmations; All other assets — T+1 standard. For the off-ramp (crypto to fiat): USDT/USDC — fiat credit to named IBAN same day; BTC/ETH — fiat credit T+1 after on-chain confirmation. Settlement may be delayed in periods of extreme blockchain network congestion. Clients are notified of any delays via the CCYFX portal and webhook notifications.
What are all 12 supported assets?+
The 12 supported assets are: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Tether (USDT — ERC-20 and TRC-20), USD Coin (USDC — ERC-20), XRP (XRP), Solana (SOL), Polygon (MATIC), BNB (BNB Chain), Avalanche (AVAX), Chainlink (LINK), Polkadot (DOT), and Litecoin (LTC). All assets are available for both on-ramp (fiat to crypto) and off-ramp (crypto to fiat) unless otherwise indicated. Minimum conversion is $10,000 equivalent per transaction. OTC desk available for transactions over $250,000 equivalent with dedicated pricing.
Can I access crypto conversion via API?+
Yes. CCYFX's REST API supports crypto conversion requests, wallet submission, KYT status polling, conversion rate queries, and compliance report retrieval. Webhooks are available for real-time KYT result notifications, conversion execution confirmations, and fiat settlement notifications. API documentation is available at developers.ccyfx.com. Sandbox environment available for integration testing. FIX Protocol is not currently supported for crypto — REST API only. API access for crypto requires the same account-level KYC as the web interface.
What documentation do I receive for each transaction?+
For every crypto conversion transaction, CCYFX provides: (1) conversion confirmation with rate, fee, and amount details; (2) Chainalysis KYT screening result and risk score (pass/flagged/declined); (3) blockchain transaction hash and confirmation link; (4) Travel Rule compliance record (for qualifying VASP transfers); (5) Fireblocks custody receipt and wallet address confirmation; (6) a consolidated compliance report suitable for auditors, LP reporting, tax advisors, and regulatory examination. All documentation is available immediately post-settlement in the CCYFX portal and via API.
Is this service available to retail investors?+
No. CCYFX's crypto treasury infrastructure is exclusively available to corporate and institutional clients — registered legal entities that have completed CCYFX's full KYB (Know Your Business) onboarding process. Individuals trading for personal account are not eligible. Minimum conversion size of $10,000 equivalent reflects the institutional nature of the service. CCYFX is not a retail crypto exchange and is not authorised as one. If you are an individual looking to purchase crypto for personal use, CCYFX is not the appropriate service for your needs.
